  • Use your eyes. How often do you eat a snack because it’s right in front of you? That tendency might seem like it works against you, but you can actually use it to your advantage! If you’re trying to get in your servings of fruit and veggies, keep them displayed on the counter. A large bowl of produce from which you can grab makes it easy to snack right and get the nutrients your body needs.
  • Drink up. Are you drinking enough water? Divide your weight in half. That’s roughly the number of ounces of water you should be consuming each day. If you’re having a hard time staying hydrated, invest in a reusable water bottle and get in the habit of carrying it with you. With water always at the ready, drinking throughout the day will become second nature in no time.
  • Start small. Getting healthy can feel daunting. Remember, though, that doing a little bit is better than nothing at all! A fifteen-minute walk or five push-ups is much better for your body than just sitting on the couch. Next week, try walking for twenty minutes or doing seven push-ups. If you work in bite-sized pieces, it’s much easier to stick with your health goals.
